MGM Group, Odisha, promotes women’s empowerment, sustainable livelihoods and community development through targeted initiatives across Odisha. In Boudh, programmes supporting women farmers encourage agricultural participation and strengthen rural livelihoods. In Petabeda village near the mining area, kitchen garden initiatives promote household vegetable cultivation, better nutrition and food security. Through Wildlotus Fashions, MGM Group provides employment opportunities to over 1,100 women, supporting their economic independence. The Foundation’s Similipal Initiative also engages local women in Bhit Patow on Paper, adapting traditional wall art into a creative livelihood opportunity using natural pigments. Together, these initiatives foster self-reliance, preserve cultural heritage and advance inclusive rural development.
